CREW San Diego is dedicated to assisting women in the business of real estate by providing experienced mentors who can impart industry knowledge and professional guidance.  The Mentorship Program is designed to benefit these women in ways that encourage them to continue to pursue a career in commercial real estate and assist them in fulfilling their professional goals.

The key points you need to know to participate in this invaluable program are:

 For Mentors:

  • Be an Active member of San Diego CREW

  • Agree to meet a minimum of one hour per month with your mentee (bi-monthly is suggested)

For Mentees:

  • Be employed in the commercial real estate industry and a current member of CREW San Diego

  • Agree to meet a minimum of one hour per month with your mentor (bi-monthly is suggested)

Enrollment Deadline - January 31, 2024

1 Year Program with Kickoff Event in March 2024

PROGRAM GOALS + EXPECTATIONS

The CREW Mates Mentoring Program exists to:

  • Promote, educate and support the talented members of CREW who exhibit interest in professional development

  • Provide career enhancement through increased self-awareness, improved communication/interpersonal skills

  • Provide a forum to exchange ideas, understanding and appreciation for different organizational divisions and practice groups

  • Enhance leadership and decision making skills

  • Motivate and engage participants resulting in increased job performance and satisfaction

ROLES & EXPECTATIONS - MENTORS & MENTEES

The mentee roles and responsibilities are to:

  • Establish goals

  • Ask and answer probing questions

  • Initiate and coordinate discussions and meetings with mentor

  • Reflect upon learning and solicit specific feedback

  • Solicit guidance on professional growth

  • Seek feedback on strengths and areas for development

  • Share responsibility to ensure the program meets expectations, and a mutually open and trusting relationship is maintained

The mentor roles and responsibilities are to:

  • Provide ideas for resources and learning opportunities

  • Act as a sounding board – listen and ask probing questions

  • Provide feedback regarding career (as desired and as appropriate)

  • Encourage candor and maintain confidentiality

  • Share expertise and experience

  • Provide support and flexibility during the process

  • Share responsibility to ensure the program meets expectations, and a mutually open and trusting relationship is maintained
