CREW Open Luncheon - Achieving Net Zero Emissions Impacts to Commercial Real Estate

  • Tom Ham's Lighthouse 2150 Harbor Island Dr San Diego, CA 92101 (map)

According to researchers, worldwide building construction and operations account for 40 percent of the world's energy consumption. This corresponds to one-third of the carbon dioxide emissions that cause global warming and two-fifths of the sulfur dioxide emissions that cause acid rain. Buildings use 40% of virgin resource minerals as well. The way we design and build affects our landscape, resource availability, economy, health and sense of community.
